Modulated inflation from kinetic term

چکیده
We study modulated inflation from kinetic term. Using the MukhanovSasaki variable, it is possible to determine how mixing induced by the kinetic term feeds the curvature perturbation with the isocurvature perturbation. We show explicitly that the analytic result obtained from the evolution of the Mukhanov-Sasaki variable is consistent with the δN -formula. From our results, we find analytic conditions for the modulated fluctuation and the non-Gaussianity parameter.

Delta-N formalism for the evolution of the curvature perturbations in generalized multi-field inflation
The δN formalism is considered for the calculation of the evolution of the curvature perturbations in generalized multi-field inflation models. The result is consistent with the usual calculation of the standard kinetic term. For the calculation of the generalized kinetic term, we improved the definition of the adiabatic field. Our calculation improves the usual calculation of Ṙ based on the fi...
متن کاملNon-standard kinetic term as a natural source of non-Gaussianity
We consider reheating after inflation with a non-standard kinetic term. We show that the difference in the kinetic term in different Hubble patches inherited from the long-wavelength moduli inhomogeneities may generate a significant level of non-Gaussianity after inflation.
متن کاملNew DBI Inflation model with Kinetic Coupling to Einstein Gravity
In this letter we study a new class of inflation models which generalize the Dirac-Born-Infeld (DBI) action with the addition of a nonminimal kinetic coupling (NKC) term. We dubbed this model as the new DBI inflation model. The NKC term does not bring new dynamical degree of freedom, so the equations of motion remain of second order. However, with such a coupling, the action is no longer linear...

We have studied modulated inflation that generates curvature perturbation from light-field fluctuation. As discussed in previous works, even if the fluctuation of the inflaton itself does not generate the curvature perturbation, fluctuation of a light field may induce fluctuation for the end-line of inflation and this may lead to generation of cosmological perturbation “at the end of the inflat...
متن کاملThe gravitino abundance in supersymmetric ‘new’ inflation models
Using the equations recently presented by Kallosh et. al. (hep-th/9907124) and Giudice et. al. (hep-ph/9907510), we estimate the abundance of gravitinos created from the vacuum, in ‘new’ inflation models for which global supersymmetry is a good approximation. Gravitinos with helicity 1/2 are produced abundantly just after inflation, when their effective mass rises sharply, and even more abundan...
